Cookie policy

What cookies we use

UnlockStudy uses only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, analytics, or behavioural profiling.

• Authentication session cookies — set by our authentication provider (Supabase) when you sign in as a teacher or admin. These keep you signed in across page loads and are removed when you sign out.
• Student-session participant cookie(fg_participant_*) — set when a student joins a class via a code. Identifies the student's device for the duration of that one class session. Not used for tracking outside the session.

What we don't use

• Advertising or retargeting cookies.
• Third-party analytics trackers.
• Cross-site behavioural profiling.
• Marketing pixels.

Your controls

Modern browsers let you block cookies entirely or per-site. Blocking the essential authentication cookies will sign you out and prevent sign-in. Blocking them on the student join page will prevent attendance tracking. Settings:

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes materially, we update the last-updated date at the top of the page and notify school administrators by email.
